Adding a Slot
Important: if schedule mode is enabled in the settings (Online Booking → Settings), you do not need to add a slot manually. If you add a slot, it will take priority over the schedule.
A slot is a specific time period during which a client can book an appointment. A slot can be created for an employee or for a resource (room, hall, device).
How to add a slot
- Open the Calendar and select the desired date.
- Click Add slot (inside the day or in the ⋯ menu at the top).
- Select the time source (employee / resource / no source — if there are no employees).
- Specify the date and start time.
- If needed, set the end time, minimum lead time before booking, number of spots, and base price.
- Click Save — the slot will appear in the calendar and become available for booking (if the status is “Booking open”).
Time source
The time source is the “owner” of the slot. The fields you see in the form depend on it.
- Employee — the slot belongs to the selected employee.
- Resource — the slot belongs to a resource (for example, a room).
- No source — available when there are no employees (simple mode without assignment).
Resource employees
If a slot is created for a resource, you can specify which employees can work with that resource.
- Select all — quickly add all employees.
- Clear — remove selected employees.
- Employee required — if enabled, a specific employee must be selected during booking.
If no employees are selected for the resource, “Employee required” is turned off automatically.
Date and time
- Date — past dates cannot be selected.
- Start time — this time will be shown to clients and in the calendar.
- End time (optional) — if not specified, the slot is considered to have no fixed duration.
Booking limits
-
Minimum lead time before booking — how many minutes before the start booking is still allowed.
0 — booking is allowed immediately, 1440 — one day in advance. - Number of spots — how many clients can be booked for the same time. For individual booking, leave 1.
Slot services
The “Slot services” section limits which services a client can choose when booking into this slot.
- No services — services are not available for selection.
- All services — the client will see the full list of services.
- Employee services — only services linked to the selected employee are available (if any).
- Services of selected employees — available for a resource slot if “Resource employees” are selected.
- Selected only — you manually check specific services.
If the selected employee has no services, the “Employee services” mode will be unavailable — add services to the employee or use “All services” / “Selected only”.
Slot status
When editing a slot, you can change its status:
- Booking open — clients can book.
- Spots filled — the slot is considered occupied.
- Closed — unavailable to clients.
Useful tips
- If the selected employee is inactive, clients will not be able to book until you activate the employee.
- If you need to create slots in bulk for a date range, use Fill schedule (separate instructions).
