How to connect an AI agent to a website
The “Website (Mobitsa)” channel is needed for the AI agent to start working in the chat on your website. After connecting, visitors will be able to write in the chat, and the agent will respond to them directly on the site. This article covers only the basic setup: first connect the website, and the chat’s appearance and behavior can be configured later.
What you need before connecting
Before you start, check:
- the AI agent has already been created;
- the required website has already been added to Mobitsa;
- the AI agent is enabled;
- this website is not yet connected to another AI agent.
This is important because one website can be linked to only one AI agent.
How to connect the website
- Open the required AI agent.
- Go to the Connections section.
- Click Add channel.
- Select Website (Mobitsa).
- In the Select website field, choose the required website.
- Fill in the main fields.
- Save the changes.
What to fill in right away
For the first launch, it is usually enough to specify only the main parameters:
- website;
- chat name;
- input hint;
- assistant name;
- what the user will see first.
This is already enough to launch the chat on the website in a basic working form.
What to check after connecting
After saving, check:
- whether you selected the correct website;
- whether the AI agent is enabled;
- whether the chat appears on the website;
- whether the first screen looks clear;
- whether the chat promises anything the AI agent cannot do yet.
What not to confuse
- Connecting a website means making the AI agent appear on the site and start working in the chat.
- Configuring the chat means separately choosing the appearance, first screen, and widget behavior.
First connect the website and verify the basic launch. More detailed setup is convenient to do separately.
What can be configured later
At the start, you usually do not need to complicate the setup. Later, you can separately configure:
- the chat button design;
- automatic opening;
- fine appearance settings;
- the details of the first screen.
